Honestly thought this was just another overhyped AI tool. But it actually delivers and is super easy to use. I already created 10 shorts in 1 day.

Tried a couple viral formats on the app. A month later... 10 million views. This app is stupid easy to use.

Paste the URL of a post you published, or paste the text straight in. GhostShorts reads the piece, pulls out the line of argument rather than the first few paragraphs, and writes a spoken script that carries it in under a minute. That script gets AI narration and word-synced captions over a looping background clip, and comes out as a vertical 1080x1920 MP4. Before you pay anything you get a silent preview built from your own article, so you are judging your own piece rather than a demo of someone else’s.
Your own article, condensed and laid out as the real short, playing silently in the browser at the real timing and the real look. Nothing is generated on our servers for it, which is exactly why it costs nothing. What is held back is the AI narration and the clean 1080x1920 MP4, and both unlock when you subscribe.
Your own posts and pages that are publicly readable. If a page is behind a login, a paywall, or a consent wall we will not get past it, and we do not try to. That is not a limitation you have to work around, though: you can always paste the text yourself, which is what most people end up doing for drafts, newsletter issues that only ever went to the list, and anything still sitting in a CMS as unpublished.
It condenses, and condensing is a real edit. A 1,400-word post becomes roughly 130 spoken words, so the script keeps the claim and the reason for it and drops the examples, the caveats, and the internal links. Read it before you publish. You wrote the original and you are the one whose name is on the video, so treat the thirty seconds of reading as part of making it rather than an optional check. The script is fully editable in the app.
Shorter than instinct suggests. Thirty to forty-five seconds is where a single-idea short lives comfortably, which is about one argument with one supporting reason. If your post genuinely has three arguments, that is three videos rather than one long one, and three is better for you anyway because it is three slots on the calendar instead of one. The place a repurposed post goes wrong is trying to be a summary of the whole piece, which reads as a table of contents nobody asked for.
Open your analytics and sort by traffic, then ignore the top result if it is a tool page or a definition post, because those get read and never shared. Start with the pieces that earned comments, replies, or a screenshot on social, since something in them already made a person react. Evergreen beats timely: a post about a recurring problem in your category will still make sense as a short in eight months, and last quarter’s launch note will not. Then work down the list rather than agonising over the order.
That is the point of doing this at all. A decent 1,500-word post usually holds three or four distinct claims, and each one is its own short with its own hook. Paste the same article, keep a different section each time, and you have a week of posts out of one afternoon of writing you already did. The alternative, one video per post, leaves most of the piece unused and turns your publishing rate into your posting rate.
Everything you export is yours to post, schedule, and monetize. The honest caveat is that repurposing is a distribution strategy, not a content strategy. Videos that are visibly the same shape every time, with only the words swapped, are the ones platforms get bored of first. Vary the background, vary the caption style, write your own hook rather than reusing the article headline, and give people a reason to follow the account rather than the format.
